NOTE: There is an amendment to what is in the Schedule – pony class 45 is for purebred Welsh young stock (1-, 2- or 3-year-old fillies or geldings). Also, the Champion Pony of the Show is based on classes 42 – 49.

The equestrian section of the show has always been popular. Indeed, the Army team used to feature on a regular basis down the years. In fact, the winning Aga Khan Nations Cup team jumped here in the sixties.

There are ten horse classes with the highlight being the Champion Ridden Hunter who will win the Oliver Dixon Gold Cup.
In addition, there is a Registered Connemara Section with eleven classes – the Champion Connemara Pony winner will receive the Josie Kerin’s Perpetual Cup.

There will be ten Ridden Classes for hunters and ponies, along with sixteen other pony classes, with special prizes for 7- to 16-year-old handlers sponsored by Supermacs/Papa Johns.

There will also be two donkey classes.
