Rules & Conditions – Class 117

  1. The competition is open to large fowl, heavy soft feather, female
  2. Exhibits must be pure bred (confined to the following breeds Australorp, Barnevelder, Brahma, Cochim, Croad Langshan, Dorking, Faverolles, Frizzle, Marams, Orpington, Plymoth Rock, Rhode Island Red, Sussex, Wyandotte these are the only breeds of birds accepted No Bantams & No waterfowl.
  3. Two exhibits to qualify from each qualifying show.
  4. Exhibitors must declare the breed, variety, colour and sex on entry to Qualify for the show.
  5. Exhibitors may have only 1 bird in final
  6. Exhibits must be owned by the exhibitor, at time of qualifying and at the Final.
  7. Qualifying birds may not enter any other classes on day of final.
  8. Cages will be provided at final.
  9. Each finalist will receive product on appearance at the final.
  10. Entry Fee:         To qualifying Show: €3; To Final €6
  11. Prizes:              1st: €200,2nd €100, 3rd €50, 4th €25, 5th €25, 6th €25, 7th €25.
  12. Final:                Tullamore Show & AIB National Livestock Show Sunday 8th August

Rules & Condition – Class 118:

  1. The competition is open to all breeds of True Bantam, Diminutive, Miniature or Dwarf Fowl.
  2. Four birds from each qualifying show will be eligible to compete in the Final.
  3. Individual competitors may qualify no more than two birds for the final.
  4. Chickens qualifying for entry in the final may not be entered in any other Classes at Swinford Show.
  5. The chickens must be penned in the cages provided at the show grounds By 11.00 am. Final to be judged at 1 p.m.
  6. Entry Fee:         To qualifying shows €3; To Final €5
  7. PRIZES:           Champion €100 and Rosette; 2nd €60, 3rd €40, 4th €30, 5th €20, 6th to 12th €15 - Products or vouchers may be substituted for cash prizes
