All top breeds of purebred cattle will be on display – Simmental (seven classes), Charolais (two classes), Belgian Blue (two classes), Shorthorn (two classes), Limousine five classes) and Aberdeen Angus (one class).
In addition, there will be eleven classes for commercial cattle. There is a new class for a baby beef animal (no teeth) – prize fund of €1,000.
The Irish Show Association and Swinford Show Society present The All-Ireland Non-Pedigree Suckler Heifer Championship qualifier – prize fund of €1,000. Sponsored by Progressive Genetics. The final will be held August 27th at the Swinford Show.
The ISA presents the All Ireland Junior Young (8 – 12 years) Stockperson Championship 2023 qualifier, sponsored by the Irish Farmers Journal and FBD Insurance. Final will be on August 19th at the Cappamore Show.
There will be sixteen classes for sheep (purebred and crossbred), including the Walsh Cup for the Best Pet Lamb.
